The award ceremony

It was a great pleasure! To honor this year’s winners of The Power of the Arts, the award ceremony took place on March 21 at the Alte Münze in Berlin.

We congratulate the winning projects on receiving 50,000 euros in prize money each: 4.0 | An audiovisual installation for deaf and hearing people from Frankfurt am Main, KI-nchen // Society and Art in the Context of Artificial Intelligence from Weimar, Women in the Dark from Berlin and Young Pathos Collective from Munich.

The award, initiated by Philip Morris GmbH, was presented for the seventh time in a row and, with a total of 200,000 euros in prize money, is one of the most highly endowed private sponsorship awards in the field of arts and culture in Germany. The Power of the Arts supports projects that use artistic means to promote social and cultural equality, create social resonance spaces and break down barriers.
